Podcasts have taken the world by storm in the last few years. They’re great for sticking on whilst you’re cleaning or relaxing at home, plus, they’re free! They’re particularly helpful if you live alone, as many people enjoy the company and find the relaxed chatter of podcasts comforting. We thought we’d keep it local by showing you some of the great podcasts you can listen to, recorded right here in Sheffield.


A Cuppa With…


Lynne Scrafton hosts these relaxed chats about everything from running, to addiction, to family and parenthood. Lynne delves into sometimes tricky topics, but always delivers them in a calm, thoughtful and relatable way. The podcast also features a variety of guests such as musicians and mental health advocates.

This podcast celebrates UK music; Dan and Mark, two kids of the nineties, talk about some of their favourite British tracks from back then and right now. If you prefer a more radio-style podcast, or just love British indie and rock music, this one's for you!

How are you Really?


Hosted by writer and blogger Anneli Roberts, ‘How are you Really’ (formerly known as Pigletish) is all about conversations around life and mental health. It returned for series 3 in March, with episode 1 featuring author and mental health advocate Rebecca Lombardo. Expect open, honest discussion about topics such as self-care, post traumatic stress disorder, and life on a psychiatric ward - always handled with care.

Sheffield Hopcast


One for the beer connoisseurs - Sheffield Hopcast is all about Sheffield’s love affair with beer. Hosted by James, Adam, and Laura, Sheffield Hopcast covers a variety of topics such as micropubs and women in the beer industry, as well as reviews and recommendations of beers from independent breweries. They also cover events such as Sheffield Beer Week and the Steel City Beer and Cider Festival.

The Naked Podcast


Two besties in the buff are on a mission to get to the naked truth. Yorkshire duo Jenny Eells and Kat Harbourne undress with a guest for revealing confessions & conversations.
