When and where is the Christmas market in Sheffield this year?

The Sheffield Christmas Market is back again for another year with seasonal food & drink, local makers all surrounded by the festive lights across the city. You’re sure to feel merry and bright with this years market. It’s important for us to support locals and in Sheffield we have a great independent scene. 80% of stall holders this year are local to Sheffield and will be selling treats and gifts, perfect for presents this Christmas.

You can expect the return of the Alpine themed bars, mulled wine & cider, traditional German sausages, the classic Yorkshire pudding wraps, hot chocolates, toasted marshmallows, churros, stalls selling handmade goods and much, much more.

Experience Sheffield from the sky with a ride on the iconic Big Wheel or you can meet the big man himself at Santa's Grotto, with plenty to see and do for all the family.

Opening on Thursday 16 November everyday until Christmas Eve (see opening & closing times below):

The Moor cabins

Sunday-Thursday 10am-6pm

Friday and Saturday 10am-7pm

Pinstone Street cabins

Sunday-Thursday 10am-7pm

Friday and Saturday 10am-8pm

The Alpine bars

The Alpine Lodge 10am-11pm (Peace Gardens)

The Alpine Bar 10am-Late (The Moor)

The Big Wheel

Sunday to Thursday 10am-9pm

Friday and Saturday 10am-10pm

With the Festive Opening Weekend taking place on Saturday 18 November and Sunday 19 November, if you’re not already in the Christmas spirit, it’s sure to bring a whole lot of joy your way with brass bands, choirs, dance displays, street performers and an outdoor cinema.

Unfortunately, the annual 'Christmas Light Switch On' is unable to go ahead this year due to crowd safety concerns as a result of the transformative works on Fargate.

This year the market will be stretching from Town Hall Square all the way to the bottom of the Moor, where Santas grotto can be found.
