Creep Show, the collaboration between John Grant and electro trio Wrangler, will perform there first live show in Sheffield as part of the festival
Sensoria Festival, the annual celebration of film and music held in Sheffield, has announced its first headliner will be Creep Show, a collaboration between John Grant and the dark analogue electro of Stephen Mallinder, Phil Winter and Benge who make up Wrangler.
The show, on Saturday 5 October at The Foundry, will be the acts first ever live show, following their debut album Mr Dynamite, which was voted 2018 Album of the Year by Electronic Sound Magazine.
The show promises to be packed with experimental pop and surreal funk and will bring serve as the finale to the 2019 festival’s closing weekend.
Creep Show’s album Mr Dynamite was recorded in Cornwall with a lifetime’s collection of drum machines and synthesisers assembled by Benge and explored by every member of Creep Show.
Former Cabaret Voltaire frontman Stephen Mallinder said: “Creep Show is Hydra. A beast with multiple heads and voices, so no one is quite sure who is saying and doing what. Everything is permitted and everything is possible.”
Tickets for the show are priced between £12.84 and £17.11 and are available through Eventbrite.
