With over 200 independent record stores coming together to sell records, now is the time to be excited!

Record Store Day 2021 will be taking place across two Drop dates: Saturday 12 June and Saturday 17 July 2021.

Support your local independent record store this Saturday for the first of two Record Store Day’s this year!

Record Store Day is an annual event that started up in 2007 to support independent record stores. Music has evolved over time and the more it evolves the more difficult it is to sell vinyl. From vinyl to cassettes, CD’s to digitally downloading music - the age of music has and is rapidly changed.

Although streaming has become the most common way to listen to music, vinyl has started to become a popular way to listen to your favourite songs. Sheffield has five great independent record stores who have been impacted greatly from the COVID-19 pandemic.

This is your way that you can support them!

With 200 independent record stores selling records that are only available on this day - people queue for hours to get hold of limited edition vinyl.

Unlike other years, record stores will not be able to host pop-up gigs and events with the current situation.

See the official Record Store Day website for more information and see records that will be available this Saturday here.

Here are the places that will be hosting Record Store Day this year in Sheffield.
