Question Time to hold Brexit special in SheffieldPosted by: Ashley Birch
The show will air the day before the UK's scheduled date to leave the EU
So, Brexit’s as confusing as ever at the minute, right? Currently (and this could change by the time I’ve finished this sentenced), no ‘short extension’ to the Article 50 deadline has been agreed and we are still set to crash out, or skip gleefully away from the European Union, depending on your perspective, on 29 March.
But if you’re seeking a bit more clarity on how it's going to effect us right here in Sheffield, maybe the Beeb can help, as they head to Sheffield to film a Question Time sure to be packed with lively debate, and totally not to stir up trouble, the day before the deadline on 28 March.
If you fancy being part of the audience, the BBC are asking people to fill out this form with a couple of questions to aim, like EU grenades of truth, at the unsuspecting panel of open-mouthed politicians and special guests, hosted by presenter Fiona Bruce.
Probably not a good idea to apply if you’ve already been on the show eith, as BBC have said: “It’s important that as many applicants as possible get the chance to be part of a Question Time audience.
“If you have been in a QT audience within the past ten years we are delighted that you want to do it all over again, but please give others a chance and don’t apply this time round. If you have applied before but not been successful, we welcome your application.”
Successful applicants should hear back early next week.
