Post Run Recovery Yoga with Rachel Roy

Posted by: Claudia Downs

Want to try yoga for the first time? Feel a little nervous in a group class situation? Why not try our concise videos with Sheffield yoga instructor, Rachel Roy.

Today, Rachel shares a block supported sequence, to repair muscles after your run. Stretching out the quads, hamstrings, hip flexors, calves and Achilles. Finish off with a supine twist and allow the nervous system to restore a sense of calm back to body. Practice this sequence straight after your daily run to hydrate the tissues within. Namaste!

Note: As with any exercise, be careful and consult your physician if you have any questions, or if you have any preexisting conditions. There is inherent risk assosciated with any form of exercise: by following the exercise in this video you agree that you do so at your own risk, are a voluntary participant, and assume all risk of injury to yourself. Listen to your body and stop if you experience pain or discomfort.
