(R)evolution Tour will stop off at Sheffield’s O2 Academy in October

Electro pioneer Gary Numan has announced a new 40th anniversary tour which includes a stop off at Sheffield’s O2 Academy on 11 October.

Tickets for the celebratory gig are on O2 Priority pre-sale now, and go on general sale tomorrow (12 April) at 10am.

Numan said: “In September 1979 I began my first ever tour around the UK. I’ll be celebrating the 40 years of life, career and touring that have unfolded since then this September and October with the (R)evolution Tour.”

He is also hoping to play at least one song from almost every album he’s ever made.

The ‘Cars’ singers most recent album ‘Songs from a Broken World’ was released in 2017 to both critical and commercial acclaim, reaching number two in the UK charts.

His previous Sheffield show was big and loud so expect more of the same when he heads to Sheffield again (possibly in his car) on 11 October.
