Sleaford Mods: Plug, 14 March


Sleaford Mods’ Jason Williamson and Andrew Fearn are bringing their politically charged, angry vignettes of modern-day Britain to Sheffield’s Plug on 14 March, in support of their fifth studio album ‘Eton Alive’.



The new album, featuring 12 new tracks, was recorded in their home town Nottingham and will be the first release on the pair’s newly formed label ‘Extreme Eating’, and their first album since parting ways with Rough Trade Records.


Phlegm’s Mausoleum of the Giants exhibition opens: Eye Witness Works, 15 March – 6 April


The Brazillian-born, Sheffield-based street artist Phlegm has announced his new spectacular sculptural installation, titled Mausoleum of the Giants, will be held in Eye Witness Works, on Milton Street.



The previously undisclosed venue will be transformed into a landscape of surreal giant sculptures in Phlegm’s instantly recognisable style, occupying the halls and corridors of the abandoned factory with their cumbersome bodies from Friday 15 March 15 – Saturday 6 April 2019. 


Sheffield Beer Week: Various venues, 11 March – 17 March


2019 will see Sheffield Beer Week celebrate its fifth year as a city-wide beer festival, cementing its place on the Sheffield calendar at loads of venues all over the city, throughout the week.



Breweries taking part in 2019, including great local breweries NeepsendKelham Island BreweryThornbridge and Abbeydale, as well as a list of national and international breweries including Wander BeyondWild Card Brewery and Mikkeller.


Reel Steel Cult Weekender: Abbeydale Picture House, 15 – 17 March


Sheffield's historic Abbeydale Picture House will host the first inaugural Cult Weekender Film Festival - a celebration of ‘iconic’ cinema from Reel Steel this weekend. Among the programme highlights are classics such as Battle Royale and Raiders of the Lost Ark, and Studio Ghibli’s Spirited Away on 35mm.

Cutlery Works St Patrick's Weekender: 14 March – 17 March


Kelham Island food hall Cutlery Works is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with three Guinness mobile bars, plenty of merchandise to be won and the Six Nations Final showndowns live and loud on the downstairs screen (Saturday 16th).
