Festival vibes at Bole Hills this weekend

Artists, musicians, poets and businesses are coming together in Crookes to celebrate the best of Sheffield's independent scene.

RiteTrax - a social enterprise that provides a platform for underground creative culture - has teamed up with Crookes Forum and Friends of the Bole Hills for a one-day community festival. It’s all happening this Saturday 6 August from 12noon to 8pm.

The festival and market has live music from the likes of Omni Prezidents and the Fentonville Street Band, as well as a spoken word poetry tent and live art.

Over 20 stalls will be selling everything from clothing to baked goods, there are workshops with all sorts of activities and the kids can burn off some energy on the bouncy castle and trampolines.

The aim is for the Crookes community to get together for a day of fun and creativity, and they’re asking everyone to go along and get involved!

For more information and a full list of what’s on, check out their Facebook page. There’s also talk of a secret after party.
