An alternative shopping experience returns to Sheffield’s Cathedral next month
Craft and Flea returns to the city-centre on 9 February, bringing some of the city's best local designers with it.
Taking place at Sheffield Cathedral, over 4,000 people have already expressed an interest in the fair which will see local producers, makers, designers and collectors fill the venue for a one-day alternative shopping experience.
Shoppers can browse around a range of unique stalls selling illustrations, jewellery, collectibles, confectionary, local art, retro homewares, artisan food, plants and floristry, candles, and more.
As a new spin on the makers’ market, stalls have been handpicked based on their quality, on-trend products and with no two events being the same, you’re guaranteed a brand new experience.
For just £2 and under 12s going free, one of the traders you’ll have access to is home décor specialist Lucy Freeman Designs, who will also be hosting a workshops throughout the day where you can learn a range of new skills, including contemporary embroidery techniques, as well as many more great exhibitors who are still to be confirmed.
Lucy told VIBE: “Craft and Fleas markets are a brilliant way to see all the talent Sheffield has to offer, we have such a diverse range of artists, makers and vintage gems in our city, I love how Craft and Flea brings this all together under one roof.
“The markets have a lovely interactive and friendly nature, everyone’s up for a chat, its Sheffield at its best!”
Last year’s event included handmade textiles from The Unidenticals and vegan bath and body products from Baileys Botanicals, and with organisers stating February’s fair is going to be ‘bigger and better than ever before’, it is one you will want to clear your calendar for.
Doors open at 11am and the event runs until 5pm.
There is also still time for exhibitors to get their stall in on the Craft & flea action as well, with local makers, designers and foodies asked to email email@example.com .
