What is this? – Why, it’s Café Totem’s free screening of the Talking Heads live concert ‘Stop Making Sense’

Sheffield city-centre bar Café Totem is hosting a screening of the Talking Heads concert movie ‘Sop Making Sense’ tonight (29 November) at 7.30pm.

The ‘once in a lifetime’ screening of the Jonathan Demme’s masterpiece, which captures the Talking heads at their artsy, frenetic best, is a free screening in the Furnival Gate bar .

If you haven’t seen it yet, the gig starts with Byrn on his own on an empty stage, armed only with an acoustic guitar for a rendition of ‘Psycho Killer.

Byrne is gradually joined by bassist Tina Weymouth, drummer Chris Frantz, keyboardist Jerry Harrison and a cadre of backup singers as they perform the band's hits, culminating in an iconic performance featuring Byrne in an enormous suit.

Looking forward to this, for more info head over to Café Totem’s Facebook page.
