Britain’s Strongest Men are coming to Sheffield
Next week the city of steel welcomes the Iron Men
Britain’s Strongest Man returns to Sheffield’s Fly DSA Arena next week for a third consecutive year, on Saturday 18 January, for the ultimate showdown of strength.
The 2020 World’s Strongest Man Qualifying Tour kicks off with a truly awesome line-up of heavyweights ready to battle it out for the biggest prize in British Strongman, along with a golden ticket to World's Strongest Man. Since Eddie ‘the Beast’ Hall won World’s Strongest Man in 2017, the sport has gone from strength to strength and our home-grown athletes are BIGGER, BETTER and more FIRED-UP than ever before!
Reigning champion Graham Hicks announced that he has decided to not defend his title in 2020 leaving the door open for a new champion to be crowned at the Fly DSA Arena in January.
In 2019 we had a similar situation when Eddie Hall hung up his lifting belt and we were treated to a superb spectacle of strength with Morcombe’s Graham Hicks coming out on top ahead of Adam Bishop and Tom Stoltman rounding out the podium.
The competitors for the 2020 Britains Strongest Man are Adam Bishop, Terry Hollands, Aaron Page, Luke Stoltman, Tom Stoltman, John Pollock, Mark Felix, Paul Smith, Luke Richardson, Ben Brunning, Ryan England & Mark Steele.
The very Best of British strongmen will take on five gruelling challenges – hoisting giant logs, lifting atlas stones and more, to prove they have what it takes to become the next World’s Strongest Man.
Britain’s Strongest Man 2020 will be filmed for Channel 5 as part of the Official World's Strongest Man Qualifying Tour.
