The inclusive Castlegate venue is hosting a huge FREE party featuring a line-up of top DJs, as part of this year’s Tramlines Fringe

This year’s Tramlines weekend is creeping up fast and if you haven’t already made plans, or you’re just looking for some of the best alternative, free party action, we reckon we’ve got the answer – look no further than Bal Fashions’ Tramlines Fringe Party. It’ll take some licking.

On Saturday 20 July, the newest Exchange Street bar is teaming up with a line-up of top class DJs, including Chris Duckenfield, PBR Streetgang and Thatmanmonkz, for a night of banging tunes, harking back to Tramlines’ past as a free-to-all event.

Bal Fashion Social said: “We provide the intimate fringe experience for festival goers that support the original ‘free’ ethos of the party. We give you a musical experience with some of Sheffield’s finest selectors - a party for the party people! Come join us and remember, ‘upstairs for dancing’.”

The dancing upstairs will be headlined by one of Sheffield’s best-loved Djs and producers, Chris Duckenfield, who has over twenty years’ experience in the game.

Starting his early career working at the WARP record store, he then went on to release music on the label under the guise RAC and later SWAG with Richard Brown. Always forward thinking and trying to push boundaries Chris ran and released music on a number of other labels including Odori, Primitive, Jet Project and Extended Play, to name a few.

As well as Chris, Thatmanmonkz will also be flying the flag for Sheffield along with Leeds-based outfit PBR Streetgang, who honed their skills through their residency at ‘ASYLUM’ and the infamous ‘MINT CLUB’.

This is definitely one not to be missed. For more info head over to Bal Fashion Social’s Facebook page.
