The gourmet vegetarian evening

Showroom Cinema on Paternoster Row is serving a gourmet vegetarian menu on 16 September, curated by the cinema’s award-winning chef Jon Tite. Throughout the evening, Jon’s dishes will showcase and celebrate early autumnal flavours, using seasonal fruit and vegetables.

The urban cycling race

Sheffield Urban CycloCross is back on 16 September. Following May’s race through Kelham Island, the series, which combines urban spaces with daredevil bike racing, is taking over Park Hill Flats. The comedy evening

Regather’s comedy club is back on 15 September, following a break over the summer. For its return, the club has put together a line-up including Sam and Tom, who are returning to Regather with a new show, and ex-BBC producer Peter Fleming as support.

The farmers’ market

Nether Edge Farmers’ Market returns for its autumn edition on 17 September, as part of Nether Edge Festival – 10 days of events to bring together and celebrate the area’s community. Expect seasonal produce and entertainment from local performers, with donations being collected for Sheffield Parent Carer Forum and Sheffield Carer’s Centre across the weekend. The anniversary celebration

Planet Zogg is celebrating 17 years of partying in the Steel City on 15 September, with a huge line-up of acts playing Plug. Expect techno from Chris Liberator, producer Ben Fraser, and an all-star Sheffield line-up in the Disco of Doom room.
