Struggling to know what to get for the person who already has everything? Why not let them decide with a city centre gift card
A new first of its kind gift card scheme from Sheffield’s Business Improvement District (BID) launched today, just in time for Christmas.
The new scheme works in the same way as a store gift card would but can be redeemed at a number Sheffield’s city centre businesses including over 60 chains and independents.
Businesses to sign up so far include Atkinson’s department store, independent café Ink and Water, high street footwear brand Schuh, new coffee shop on the block Mangobean, high street favourites M&S, Debenhams, John Lewis, Thorntons and restaurants such as Silversmiths, Cubana and Piccolinos, plus many more.
The Sheffield Gift Card can be purchased online via its dedicated website and can be loaded with anything from £5 to £200.
BID manager Diane Jarvis said: “Recipients of the gift card will have the flexibility to spend the card throughout the city centre and won’t be restricted to spending the value at a single business. With Christmas around the corner, our gift card is the perfect local gift for people in Sheffield.”
As well as being a good idea for Christmas Sheffield BID is also expecting the gift cards to become a popular birthday or wedding present, an employee incentive or a simple-way to mark an anniversary or say thank you.
