Local independents need you now more than ever. Here's some ways you can keep supporting Sheffield.

In a time where people are increasingly staying in, local shops, cafes, bars and restaurants can really feel the pressure. ‘If we don’t use them, we lose them’ is an important thing to remember right now. If you’re self-isolating, practicing social distancing, or just fancy staying in your pyjamas, there’s lots of ways you can continue to support your favourite local independents.
There’s lots of independent shops in Sheffield, with many offering home delivery – why not do parts of your weekly shop with them, rather than the supermarket?
Alcohol - make staying at home a bit more fun!
Elm – a natural wine bar and shop on Gibraltar Street, city centre. They stock bottles from small scale producers, making authentic wines that are reflective of their terroir. They also sell gift vouchers and art prints at £10 each.
StarmoreBoss – head to their shop on Sharrowvale Road or order for delivery. They sell whisky, wine, beer and everything in between!
True North Brew Co. – their online shop sells a huge variety of local gins. They can be ordered for delivery, or click and collect to the Forum on Devonshire Green.
Abbeydale Brewery – Order a wide range of Abbeydale beers, such as Heathen and Heresy, for delivery. They also sell merchandise such as t-shirts, art prints, and pint glasses.
Thornbridge Brewery – You can get all your favourite Thornbridge beers, such as Jaipur and Green Mountain, delivered to your doorstep.
Le Bon Vin – shop a huge selection of wine, champagne, and spirits for delivery, or pop down to their shop on Brightside Lane, S9.
Food - get local produce to your doorstep
New Roots – a volunteer-run fruit and veg shop, that delivers boxes by bike for a low carbon footprint. There’s a variety of box sizes, starting at just £7.50.
Regather – local co-operative Regather offers a fruit and veg delivery box service, as well as an online shop selling all sorts from jams and chutneys, to soft drinks, to milk and cheese. Their ‘made in Sheffield’ option offers a fantastic range of local food and drink.
Beanies Wholefoods – Beanies has been delivering Organic fruit and vegetables throughout Sheffield for more than 20 years and was one of the first Organic Box schemes in the city. Boxes start at £10.
Shopping - spruce up your home, or treat a friend. All these retailers have online shops that offer delivery.
MoonKo – plants, prints, jewellery, and homeware. They also sell gift vouchers.
Bird’s Yard – indie shop selling local designers and gifts.
Within Reason – carefully curated fashion, gifts and homeware.
Plantology – a team of local florists offering a range of indoor plants, as well as bouquets.
Katie Peckett Florists – Katie Peckett Florists has been providing high end designs and quality fresh flowers to the city for over 20 years. You can also purchase gift vouchers for their Flower School, teaching all sorts of different arrangements including wreath making and terrarium building.
Birdhouse Tea Company - all the loose leaf tea you could possibly need, packaged by hand in Sheffield. Perfect for adding variety to those much-needed cuppas.
Sheffield Makers Shop – an emporium of Sheffield designers, artists, and makers, offering all sorts of gifts and merchandise.
The Leadmill – this iconic music venue sells merchandise such as t-shirts and mugs, as well as engraved pieces of their old floor!
