We caught up with Sheffield designer Jenny White to talk about her exciting bespoke designs, London Fashion Week, and what is to come in the future
Jenny White is a Sheffield local who began making her own clothes when she was just a kid. Fast forward to today, and she's had a show in London Fashion Week, and is working to bring out her second collection.
We spoke to Jenny to find out more about her journey from making clothes for herself, to making clothes for the runway. "Fashion is something that I've always wanted to do - I just love it! I took a break for quite a while to raise my son, but then I decided that I wanted to put my designs on a catwalk.
"I contacted a lady about doing a fashion show in Cambridge at the end of last year, and then in February I was at London Fashion Week!"
"I had to make a collection in such a short amount of time, but I got there and it was absolutely fantastic!"
Along with catwalk styles, Jenny loves to produce bespoke dresses, so that every woman can feel special. She tells us: "The aim of my dresses is to make women feel like they stand out - I just love creating clothes that no one else has got."
But its not just about dressed at Jenny White Designs, her trousers and blouses have already seen the runway, and Jenny tells us she's hoping to expand into more casual styles too, as well as accessories, like scarves and berets.
We can't wait to see what she comes up with next season - after yet another trip to London to run a pop-up shop.
With a collection inspired by old Hollywood films, it's no surprise that Jenny would love to see her designs on the red carpet: "The ultimate goal is to see one of my dresses on the red carpet - I don't care who wears it, as long as it's on there!"
