What is currently the UK’s leading vintage clothing company was founded in 2004 by John Hickling when he started selling clothing from his grandmother’s coal shed in Barnsley. Since then Glass Onion has grown massively offering quality guaranteed vintage and reworked clothing from a wide range of brands such as Nike, Carhartt and the North Face. The company now employs over 65 people and processes up to 20,000 kgs of second-hand clothing every week.
The vintage clothing company offers a multitude of events that you can get involved in. At their Division street store, they have frequent sale days where you can find some amazing deals. They are also holding a Freshers Lock in event later this month where students can browse the stylish vintage offerings to the sound of a live DJ. The students will also be given free drinks and extra special discounts and bonuses. What’s more on the 16th of September Glass onion are opening their Barnsley warehouse to customers who can purchase any single item for just £5.
