From Brunch Club to Wimbledon, Kommune have July covered with their jam packed event line up

There’s some big events happening in Sheffield this month, but outside of things like Tramlines, what else is there do in Sheffield this month?


Well, we all know Kommune for the amazing food, drink and retail they’ve put together but did you know about their line-up of weekly events, offers and experiences as well as their host of one-off specials? No, here you go then.


Every week you’ll be able to enjoy...


Brunch Club - Every Tuesday to Sunday from 10am-12pm each of the 9 independent kitchens have a brunch dish available for a fiver.


Happy Hour - Head down for a post work drinks between 4 and 6pm, Tuesday-Thursday and find different drink offers each week. Games Night - Each Wednesday night the event space turns into a games room with Table Tennis (& more) from 5pm. Round up your mates and get a friendly tournament going. It’s free to play when you get a drink from the bar.


Writers Cafe - Wednesday and Thursday mornings from 9am. Hosted by award winning writer Beverley Ward, the sessions provide inspiration, guidance and uninterrupted writing time. Grab a coffee, pull up a chair and work on any genre you want. Sessions are free and open to writers of any age or stage.


Friday Flow - Set yourself up for the day with an hour of Vinyasa yoga, hosted by Cotton Yoga in the event space at 9:30am. Suitable for any level. Tickets available at


Urban Cinema - Pop up cinema specialists Urban Entertainment host movie night every Sunday at 7pm in the Kommune event space. Tickets and the film line up are available on Eventbrite or at the Kommune bar.


As well as the recurring weekly events, Kommune have a whole host of one off experiences too.

Wimbledon Finals Weekend Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th July Saturday 12-11pm & Sunday 11 - 6pm


As well as live screening of the Wimbledon finals, you can expect to find a Fever Tree gin bike with speciality Gin and tonics, Champagne & strawberries, Pimms bar, themed food specials from the kitchens as well as competitions and prizes. The event is free to attend.


CAST Jewellery Workshop Thursday 18th July - 7-10pm


Combining a jewellery making workshop with some amazing food and drink. You can craft your own jewellery with the guidance of the CAST team at the same time as enjoying summer sharing boards by The Depot Bakery, including their in house meats, fish and veg as well as platters of their well-loved sweet treats. You’ll receive your creation cast and hand finished in solid 925 silver. Tickets available here.


Sip & Sketch Wednesday 24th July - 6-7:30pm


Unleash your inner Picasso and join for an informal night of sipping, sketching and socialising. Join Laura from Nifty Fox Creative and learn how to hand letter like a boss in under two hours. You’ll learn the skills to create your own expressive letter forms and the 3 golden rules to make awesome creative type. You’ll also hand letter your own postcard to send to someone special post event. Tickets are £15 and includes a glass of fizz, all materials and guided tuition. Pecha Kucha Thursday 25th July - 7-10:30pm


Hosted in Ko:Host (the event space in Kollider, above Kommune) Pecha Kucha is a fun evening of 20x20 challenge talks, short films and great music; all exploring the show’s theme. It’s like clubbing for thinkers…inspiration for the creative class…a business social that’s more a night out…it’ll get your heart skipping and your mind racing! This month the theme is ‘Finding A Way’ and the talks will unpick the threads, stories, technologies and inspiration to find the source of the ways we all want to find. Tickets available at here.


The Future of Man Saturday 27th July - 4pm


This Summer, The Book of Man are hitting the road for a series of nationwide events which aim to tackle the issues facing men today and provide inspiration for the future. The first date will take place at Kommune, and will feature comedian Russell Kane, adventurer Megan Hine and boxer Luke Campbell MBE. Ticket profits from the event will be going to suicide prevention charity CALM. The workshop-style event will take the form of a series of panel discussions and interviews to tackle issues of masculinity, mental health, resilience, relationships and self-care, as well as provide a platform for new role models. They are also designed to be fun, sociable events with plenty of audience interaction. Freedom Brewery are the partners for the events, and guests will be encouraged to have the ‘Freedom to…ask awkward questions’ to facilitate lively debates. Yoga & Brunch Sunday 28th July - 10:30am-12:30pm


Every last Sunday of the month you can treat yourself to an hour of vinyasa yoga taught by Cotton Yoga, followed by a healthy and nutritious brunch from Pom Kitchen and a coffee form Tamper at Kommune. Cotton Yoga will provide an intimate hour long session of vinyasa yoga suitable for any level in the event space from 10:30-11:30 and then you can head to Tamper and grab a coffee and Pom or The Depot Bakery for some brunch. Limited spaces available and tickets will be available via Eventbrite soon!
