Evie Shaw, aka @thegintraveller__, reviews Tuk Tuk Thai on Ecclesall Road
Tuk Tuk Thai is located where Taco Bell was previously. The sign on the restaurant is big and bold and drew me in completely especially as it looked so effective and you really can’t miss it.
The restaurant provides such a quirky vibrant but cool decor which was very welcoming. The staff were so friendly and kind from the beginning.
I’d already had a little look at the menu beforehand they have got every starter and Thai style main course that you could think of!!!!
It didn’t take long till the food was devoured we selected the Thai Fish Cakes, Prawn Toast, Spring Rolls, Thai Meatballs. We saved a little room for our main course we picked the Pork Curry with Egg-fried rice. I can honestly say the Pork Massaman Curry tasted phenomenal. I’ve never tasted a curry with such an exotic flavouring. It did really impress me. I know next time I go back to Tuk Tuk Thai I’ll be ordering the Massaman Curry for sure.
The staff were all so kind, so pleasant and just so appreciative too. I love when staff are like this and it will definitely make us come back.
I ordered a gin to begin with and a Sex on the beach, it had such a fresh taste and was so needed after a nice meal. I loved the glass it came in too, so unusual and unique.
Tuk Tuk Thai is exactly what Ecclesall Rd needs, I feel like this restaurant will do extremely well especially as it has a lovely all round great atmosphere.
