(Re)introduce yourself to Abbeydale Road’s La Mama…

You’ve probably heard wonderful things about the tapas served up at Abbeydale Road’s La Mama, but have you ever popped in yourself to see what all the fuss is about?

There’s no smoke without fire, and while La Mama’s dishes are full of spice, they’re the spices full of flavour, not the kind that’ll blow your head off…

Nine years old this year, La Mama has long been regarded as the place to go for high quality, authentic Latin American tapas. Everything on the menu is made from scratch, straight out of owner Daniella’s family recipe book, and you’ll be hard pushed to find anything close elsewhere in Sheffield.

Whether you’re starving and you’ve been eyeing up their Empanadas de Jaiba or one of their five variations on the traditional Papas con Salsa, La Mama have something for all people and occasions, with plenty of options whether you’re a carnivore, veggie or vegan (see full menu here).

Did someone say happy hour?

La Mama have not just one, but two happy hour deals!

Pop in for their Tapas Happy Hour and get three plates for just £15 (all night every Tuesday and selected times throughout the week), or make the most of their 2 for 1 cocktails every Saturday 3-6pm.

Not just a restaurant, La Mama is a great spot to head to just to grab a drink (but if you’re as weak as we are, one glance at a neighbouring table’s dishes will be enough to get you flagging down the waiter).

It’s warm and inviting atmosphere makes it the perfect place to spend Valentine’s Day too, just make sure you book now to avoid disappointment!
