Lisboa has plans for a second pastel de nata paradise in a new secret Sheffield location
Everyone’s favourite city-centre Portuguese tart cafe has announced plans for a new, flagship venue with even more space for customers to sit-in and enjoy the café’s new increased and inclusive menu.
Owners are set to submit plans to Sheffield City Council after Christmas, and for the time being are keeping the location of the new venue under their hat, other than to say it will be outside the city-centre.
They also tell us that the café will boast an even bigger menu, including more cakes, more pastries, free-from and vegan options, as well as speciality Portuguese breads and a savoury lunch menu.
Owner Dan Martins told VIBE: “We want our second venue to be our flagship store where we can give our customers the full Portuguese patisserie experience in Sheffield. When we started, we had a lot of ideas, but we are limited at our current site. What this will give us is an opportunity to explore those ideas and we’re really excited to show another part of the city just what we can offer.
“Both me and Marco (Matias, former SWFC forward) have a fondness for Sheffield because we both came here from Portugal and it became our home. We want it to be Lisboa’s home wherever we take it.”
For further updates and the exact location of the new site, check back with VIBE in the coming weeks and months. Meanwhile, check out our VIBE x Lisboa offer here.
