Yehetian Spicy Hotpot on West Street

West Street has a new restaurant following the sudden closure of Café Moco and Toast earlier this year

A new Asian restaurant looks all set to open after bright orange signs reading Yehetian Spicy Hotpot went up on the West Street store front earlier in the week.

The new restaurant is on the site of the popular independent café Moco / Toast that suddenly closed at the beginning of the year.

The popular student haunt closure was the first of a spate of closures to city centre businesses including The Brown Bear pub and Pizza Hut last week.

Signs on the restaurant posted to Facebook by Imperial Signs Sheffield

Details on the new restaurant are sparse but a picture posted by sign fitters Imperial Signs Sheffield shows three pink signs that may make it a bit clearer.

It appears customers can pick the food they want from a fridge, putting it in a bowl that is then weighed and cooked. Once cooked you then pick a sauce and pay for the weight of food you've picked.

Keep your eyes peeled for further developments.
