K Pasa restaurant announces Sheffield return datePosted by: Ashley Birch
The former Glossop Road favourite will open in its new home on London Road in March
K Pasa Restaurant is nearly ready to re-open in its new location on London Road, and owners have confirmed that they hope to return to action on 15 March.
Many Sheffielders will remember K-Pasa from its Glossop Road heyday back in the noughties and early 2010’s, when the restaurant was famed for its Mexican-Italian fusion food, including fajitas, burritos and chimichangas.
Sadly, following a change of ownership and an expensive makeover, the restaurant was forced to close its doors with the unit in 290 Glossop Road becoming a Chinese restaurant a few-years-ago.
K-Pasa faded into people’s memories and nothing was heard of the restaurant for years – until last December, when K-Pasa broke their silence, taking to Twitter to announce: “BREAKING NEWS! K Pasa Restaurant returning to Sheffield Jan 2019”, with a mocked up newspaper front page showing an old image of the restaurant on Glossop Road.
It’s taken a little longer than expected, but the new venue, in 100 – 104 London Road, next door to SMaRT VENUE COFFEE, is nearly ready, and will again be offering Mexican, Italian and Spanish cuisine as well as a lively Tapas & Salsa bar in March.
