Jazzy laidback Sunday at TrippetsPosted by: Evie Shaw aka @thegintraveller__
Evie Shaw (aka @thegintraveller__) reviews her experience of Trippets
We booked Trippets a while ago, we were welcomed by the lovely Debbie who makes sure everything is done right especially with the covid guidelines.
We were seated at a table in a fantastic position in the restaurant to see the live entertainment. Our waiter was Tim he was pleasant and efficient. The service that is provided at Trippets is impeccable from start to finish and always professional, no wonder I keep coming back.
We’ve always wanted to come on a Sunday and we made it at long last. What I love about Trippets is the gin menu is something else! I wish I’d taken a picture of just how many gins they have, if you like gin it’s the place for you.
As we looked through the menu it’s one of those in which you could easily order the lot. It all sounded delicious. In the end we all went for two small plates accompanied by a glass of champagne.
The food was beautifully presented and tasted out of this world. It is definitely value for money. The thing that surprised me the most was the Dark chocolate and orange tart, it’s the best homemade dessert I’ve ever tasted.
I had a variety of different gins but the cocktail that stood out the most to me was Nilla Killa, it tasted sweet and refreshing and I loved the presentation of this drink.
As we were eating our meal the live jazz band went into their first set, the laidback easy music was well thought through and certainly made Sunday Afternoon, a day to remember. The 3 guys in the Jazz band worked well together and Trish, the vocalist made every song a delight to listen to, her easy manner came across so well. It was so nice to listen to live entertainment after so long. What a wonderful Sunday.
