The Sheffield Beer Week curtain-raiser will once again be held at Abbeydale Picture House
Indie Beer Feast returns for its second year at Abbeydale Picture House next month, and due to the success of last year’s event, where over 700 beer lovers attended the festival, will this time span two days, Friday 8 and Saturday 9 March.
The event will once again be a celebration of craft beer from both the UK and around the globe, including brewery bars, street food and live music, as well as acting as the curtain-raiser for the city-wide, weeklong beer celebration, Sheffield Beer Week.
Participating breweries announced so far include; The Mobberley Brewhouse, Blackjack Beers, Orbit Beers, Torrside Brewing, Neepsend Brew Co, Ridgeside Brewing Co, Turning Point Brew Co., Lost Industry Brewing, Wild Card Brewery and Neptune Brewery.
Many of the breweries will also be competing for the ‘Beer of the Festival’, which will see a host of Breweries brew up a special beer around this year’s theme ‘Seasonal Celebration’ - utilising a spring seasonal ingredient.
Event manager and Hop Hideout owner Jules Gray said: “I'm extremely pleased to be bring this beer festival back to my hometown. The focus is on great craft beer, good food and good times. Keeping it simple with the focus on flavoursome beer and delicious food, in the beautifully atmospheric Abbeydale Picture House”.
Each day will be split into two sessions, with each session priced at £7.50 (plus booking fee), which includes a specially designed festival beer glass. For more information, please visit the festival's Facebook page.
