The Kelham Island food hall turns one next month
The Milestone Group’s huge Kelham Island food hall turn one on 9 November and to celebrate they are hosting a big birthday bash with live music from 2-4pm, virtual party bags on the app with freebies to redeem after the event, retail pop-ups on the day, and a selfie wall to get those all-important Insta snaps.
They are also running a social media competition for chance to win one of four £50 bar tab on the day:
Speaking of the food hall’s first year, Beth Green, Group Commercial Business Manager at The Milestone, said: “It’s been truly great and exceeded every expectation. From the launch of Cutlery Works in November last year, the idea of turning a rundown old cutlery factory in Neepsend to what it is now, the North of England’s largest independent food hall, was un-imaginable.”
On 9 November though, that is quite the remarkable reality. Managing director of Cutlery Works Matt Bigland added: “We wouldn’t have got to where we are today if it wasn’t for the support of our guests, near and far, that we welcome through the doors of Cutlery Works on a regular basis.
“Whether to be the destination for their coffee and breakfast meet, lunch with a friend, after work drink, tea with the kids or to join us for the full evening, it’s great to be bringing so many people together to offer a variety of cuisines so there’s something for everyone. Plus, of course, the ease of ordering through The Milestone Group app so you don’t have to leave your seat and receiving loyalty rewards each time you do.
“Along with a great team of vendors, Cutlery Works and The Milestone Group staff put in hard work on a daily basis to deliver excellent service and new ideas to keep things fresh and inclusive for our guests.
“Our plans for the future are to continue to think and create outside the box, be innovative, challenge expectations and be one step ahead of the trends, putting our own unique Sheffield stamp on them! A year later we aren’t standing still, we have just had a taste of what Sheffield wants and plan to give you more of it!”
