Stone and Taps will now become Edward's

Edward’s will open at the end of September

Glossop Road is set to become home to a new bar and kitchen, opened by the same team behind The Ship Inn at Shalesmoor.

Edward’s is due to open by the end of September, and hopefully it won’t be struck by the seemingly cursed spot at 217 – 231 Glossop Road, which has seen Wetherspoons pub The Swim Inn and pizza and craft ale spot Stone and Taps close in the last 12 months.

Edward’s is being opened by the same team behind The Ship Inn at Shalesmoor, who have appointed Gary Pickles as head chef. Trained by TV chef Gordon Ramsey, Gary has worked with the Kitchen Nightmares star for seven years, working as head chef at his London restaurants.

The pub has been named after Edward Gibbs, the architect and former Sheffield College of Art student who designed the building on Glossop Road.

At the moment, Edward’s is on the hunt for kitchen staff, if you’re interested, call Dean Smith on 07894313140. For the latest updates, keep up-to-date on Facebook.
