Featuring Lotte on the EdgePosted by: Sam Pegg
Sheffield’s first urban beach coffee shop on the edge of Nether Edge
The friendly coffee shop with delicious and unpretentious food, serving breakfast and brunch with vegetarian and vegan options available.
We like to feature the more unusual hidden gems within Sheffield and Lotte on the Edge is the perfect destination for meeting with your friends and family or to have a little break of your own.
If you’re looking for Mediterranean beach bar inspired vibes, good coffee, fresh homemade food and great tunes, Costa del Nether Edge is where it’s at. Head on down to Lotte on the Edge and chill out in Sheffield’s #1 urban beach style coffee shop today.
What better way in this glorious sunshine we are having to get comfy on the sun deck & banquette.
We’re having an amazing summer aren’t we? Destinations like Lotte on the Edge are great to enjoy whilst the sun shines above. Grab yourself a sandwich and a drink and sit outside with great company. We may not be close to the beach but at Lotte’s you’re as close as it gets, it just might take a little bit of imagination.
When the sun shines (as it often does in the Costa del Nether Edge) there is no finer place to top up your vitamin D. The wrap around beach style sun decks face south and are bathed in sunbeams all year round. They have a large comfy banquette too. Close your eyes and you can almost hear the surf.
They like to keep their customers happy and that includes canine friends. There’s ample space on the sun deck for dogs to chill out with their humans and they are also welcome inside the café on the occasional days when the sun isn’t shining in Nether Edge.
What we love about Lotte on the Edge is that all the amazing food they make is homemade using only local produce, a massive support to local farms and growers. They like to think of it as Yorkshire rustic meets Amalfi coast.
What is a coffee shop without good coffee? The coffee at Lotte’s is roasted in Sheffield by Frazers Coffee Roasters and ground daily in the café, they serve it exactly how you like it. They couldn’t call themselves a beach café if they didn’t serve a mean frappe.
If coffee isn’t your usual go to option, they do also offer an eclectic range of teas from their lovely neighbours just down the road - The Birdhouse Tea Company.
Events at Lotte on the Edge
Life is anything but dull at Lotte’s, there’s always something going on...
Tapas nights - are a regular thing and booking is essential.
Jumbo Arm Knitting - massive yarns, coffee and cakes. What could be better.
Private parties - hire them for your own event; Hen night, Birthday or whatever.
Psychic Suppers - no really.
Community events - they try to give back to their community often.
It is important to mention that the current owner of Lotte on the Edge has decided to sell it on - and we wish you all the best with your next venture here at VIBE Sheffield
