Two Rivers on

Work has begun on renovating a disused public toilet on Blonk Street in the city centre for a planned summer opening

You wait a lifetime for a public toilet to be turned into a bar and then two come along in succession!

Hot on the heels of Public, the bar underneath the town hall, comes Two Rivers, so named as it is at the confluence of The River Don and the River Sheaf.

The owner told VIBE: “There will be two terraces overlooking the river giving views of the river never seen, which are quite amazing.

“It is not only a café but a micro pub as well selling real ales. Will hopefully be open by mid to late summer.”

Licenses have been agreed and the building work should be completed in April. The owners also have some properties on the way in 2018. So watch this space.
