Ray Lewis: Frame of the Week

Ray Lewis: Frame of the Week supporting image

The Ecclesall Road opticians has some groovy models in this week...

On the shelves this week at Ray Lewis is a Kirk and Kirk model from the Kaleidoscope range.

This model, named Hana, was handmade in France and is made entirely of Italian acrylic, instead of the usual acetate.

Amil, the youngster of the father and son team that run Ray Lewis opticians on Ecclesall Road, Sheffield, said: “This material is very strong, whilst being much lighter than acetate and it's also very comfortable to wear.

A beautiful piece called "Hana" from the "Kaleidoscope" range, by @kirkandkirk "Ocean" is the perfect name for the colour of this frame! . #kirkandkirk #acrylic #independentopticians #eyewear #Sheffield . . . . . . . . . . . . . . #eccyroad #Ecclesallroad #l4l #likeforlike #Sheffieldopticians #business #picoftheday #instagood #insta #blue #colourful #madeinfrance

“It also allows Kirk and Kirk to use a "colour palette" that they wouldn't be able to use, if the frames were made from another material.”

“The material allows light to pass through it and as the frames have two colour tones, the colour changes shade, depending on how the light catches the frame.”
