After being awarded rum capital of the UK, Cubana is celebrating with a new rum menu and the opening of a music and cocktail lounge
After a 10,000 mile round trip to source the most expensive rum in the world, Cubana in Sheffield’s Leopold Square swept the board at the 10th annual Rum Barrel Awards, beating more than 60 entries from across the UK.
The venue’s first dedicated rum menu is the result of months of research, assistant manager John Wickham said “Our menu is extensive but also personal and informative – there’s a well balanced selection which includes many obscure, delicious and affordable expressions of rum.”
On Saturday 26November, Cubana officially launches its new live music and cocktail lounge, helping to celebrate its accolade, as well as encouraging customers to sample their rum-inspired cocktails. Guests can also enjoy live music from some of Sheffield’s talented artists, with Emily Claire West and Piero Tucci, a live saxophonist, performing on the night.
