Christmas spectacular returns to Lotherton for fourth year
Steeped in Christmas magic and excitement, this fabulous Christmas event returns for its fourth year at the popular venue of Lotherton, Aberford in Leeds. The event embeds itself within the countryside estate and within the Edwardian house, taking inspiration from traditional Christmas story-telling and themes.
Explore the estate and as you approach the woodland walk they will encounter magical interpretations of the traditional 12 days of Christmas song. The Twelve Days of Christmas Walk takes you into a land of Christmas storytelling, through the wooded walk around the back of the bird garden leading through to the formal gardens and round the front of the house.
Along the woodland walk, as well as the lights, art installations are situated in the theme of The Twelve Days of Christmas, make the turtle doves fly, walk through the five gold rings and be one of our drummers drumming!
Uncover a secret fairy hideaway in our rock garden in ‘The Dell’ rock garden, a mini fairy village, comprising of fairy homes, listen to the fairies whispers and cheeky giggles as you walk through.
At the heart of the estate you can visit The North Pole, which houses the main man in red himself! Book your tickets for Santa early to avoid disappointment.
Finally visit a tiny Elf Village where you can find the elves in their cabins busy making Christmas decorations, join them to create crafts and take-home goodies or listen to their stories.
