School of Rock - The Musical will hold online auditions for child actors and musicians, for the 2021 UK tour.

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s smash hit, award-winning West End show, School of Rock - The Musical, is launching an online search for talented young musicians to join ‘The Band’ for next year’s UK tour, set to run at Leeds Grand Theatre from Monday 15 to Saturday 20 May 2021.

With mini rockers across the country currently being taught at the school of ‘mum and dad,’ the Producers are putting a call out for the following roles:

  • Pop/Rock/Gospel boy and girl singers
  • Guitar players who must be able to ‘shred’
  • Bass Guitar players
  • Killer Drummers
  • Genius Keyboard players

Based on the hilarious hit movie, this new musical follows Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star who decides to earn a few extra bucks by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. There he turns a class of straight-A students into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band – sensationally performed live by the production’s young actors every night with roof-raising energy!

Featuring 14 new songs from Andrew Lloyd Webber and all the original songs from the movie, this high-octane smash delivers face-melting guitar riffs and touching romance in equally awesome doses.

Casting for the UK Touring production is to be announced.

All entrants must be Young adults aged 8-12 and height under 4ft 10. Parents of budding rock stars should visit for full details, as well as the submission process, rehearsal and tour dates. All entries must be submitted by Friday 19 June 2020.

School of Rock is at Leeds Grand Theatre from Monday 15 to Saturday 20 May 2021. Book online at or call Box Office on 0844 848 2700.
