New £400k Boutique workout studio for the mind, body and soul heading to Leeds
The Leeds fitness industry is about to get a major boost as an exciting new boutique studio is arriving in the city centre just in time for summer. RYDE will feature two high-tech studios where clients from all walks of life can drop in for immersive, full-body workouts designed to leave them feeling energised, empowered and wanting more.
The range of high-energy classes are done to the beat and bass of uplifting music, in a vibrant environment that uses experienced instructors and a technical lighting system to further enhance the experience. RYDE is part of the new wave of boutique fitness brands making waves in the industry by focussing on building a community and providing a more bespoke, personalised service.
The studio is the result of a 400k investment, which has gone towards creating the brand, top of the range equipment and building a premium space befitting of a five-star hotel, from the studios to the changing rooms. RYDE is taking a more relaxed approach as far as recruiting clientele is concerned, with no pressure to sign up for long term membership.
Guests can choose to purchase blocks of sessions or take up full membership if they so wish. This approach has been taken to match the current trend in the fitness industry of hopping between different studios to benefit from a wider range of classes.
RYDE will launch with three different classes unique to the brand, with more in the pipeline. RYDE Cycle is a full-body rhythm workout that puts a spin on the classic spin class and promises to raise temperatures and challenge clients both physically and mentally.
This particular class may be familiar to anyone that attended L1 Performance in central Leeds pre-pandemic, which was another studio from the team behind RYDE. The class was immensely popular, so bringing it back bigger and better was a no-brainer.
Take on the world
RYDE Flow is an athletic style yoga session designed to get the sweat dripping through challenging cardio sequences, strengthen the full body and leave attendees feeling regenerated and ready to take on the world.
RYDE Barre is a full-body workout set to a bass-heavy soundtrack, which promises to put both first-timers and professional dancers through their paces by lengthening, strengthening and defining muscles.
RYDE is the brainchild of entrepreneur Kyle Harris, who has been building a name for himself in the ever-evolving fitness industry over the past few years. Having observed trends
happening in places ranging from London to Newyork, Kyle wanted to bring a more personalised, welcoming service to Leeds.
The boutique gym boom began before the 2020 pandemic but has increased in popularity over the past two years. A big part of this was the willingness for smaller, more bespoke studios to offer clients lockdown workouts via Zoom in the comfort of their own homes.
RYDE guests can expect first-rate service from his expert team, whether it’s having their workout equipment adjusted to personal preference on arrival, or five-star treatment post-workout in the luxurious changing rooms.
Kyle also encourages guest speakers to attend the studio, to offer advice on topics ranging from mental health to the latest health and fitness trends. The brand is backed by several investors, who have enjoyed success in a wealth of different industries and landscapes and has plans to expand in the future.
Speaking ahead of the launch, Kyle said:
“In the midst of a global struggle over the past couple of years for so many, I took the opportunity to ignite my ideas and bring them to life - I am so excited for the upcoming launch of RYDE. A boutique studio in the heart of the city centre which is set to empower and inspire you in both mind, body and spirit.''
''Whether you’re on the bike, in the studio or popping in for a coffee you’ll become a part of the community from the get-go! We have future plans to expand across the UK and beyond, with Leeds as our home-hub and founding studio. This is the start of something magical and we can not wait to welcome everyone this Summer.”
