Sheffield is line for an astonishing £1bn investment under the terms of a deal struck with a Chinese construction company by Sheffield City Council.
The Sichuan Guodong Construction Group will invest £220m in the city centre over the next three years in up to five projects.
Details have yet to be announced but the deal is the largest Chinese investment outside London. In this month’s First For Business, Andy Waple takes a look at the deal and the implications for the city.
