Following the challenges for children and parents over an unprecedented year, Queen Ethelburga’s Collegiate is keeping its doors open across July and August*, with a series of high-quality residential Summer Camps.
Nestled in 220 acres of beautiful North Yorkshire countryside but still under 2.5 hours from the capital by train, our state-of-the-art facilities and exceptional, independent-school coaching staff will ensure that your child has a safe, enjoyable learning experience that they'll remember always.
Inspiring the imagination, our Creative Arts Camp will offer both beginners and budding artists a variety of workshops in graphic design and illustration, photography, fashion and textiles, 3D sculpting and fine art. Students will have the opportunity to feature in an end of the week exhibition as well as attend portfolio 1-2-1 sessions to support their focus areas.
Those with a passion for performance will enjoy our Musical-in-a-Week Workshops. Taking place in The King’s Theatre, QE’s full-scale professional venue, children can take on the challenge of learning and performing some well-known musicals in just one week, working alongside industry professionals.
Our Science Camps will be an explosion of fun, with investigative activities across biology, chemistry and physics. For those older students looking to go into medicine, they will have the opportunity to develop surgical skills, practice dissection skills, as well as advising on university application processes for medical courses.
Led by ex-professional players, QE Sports Camps will offer activities across a whole range of sports, as well as being able to spend a day on our exclusive Performance Pathway to build on individual skills. For older students thinking of leaving school to take up a Sports Science degree, a Sports Science taster course is available, led by a team of PhD students from Leeds Beckett University.
Our residential summer camps start from £500 per week, and this includes Sunday to Friday boarding and all meals, snacks and evening activities.
This summer we are also delighted to be once again offering Campus Tours** in-person, for families looking to explore QE as an independent school option for their child.
