David Fowkes is the only Nottinghamshire-based designer whose work will be on display at the new northern contemporary jewellery and silversmithing show, to be held from 12 to 14 July at Cutlers' Hall in Sheffield
Thoresby Park-based David is pictured (on the right) with Goldsmith North Director, Brett Payne, at the show’s recent launch.
David’s work reflects two of the main trends in jewellery at the moment, coloured stones and customisation, with around 90per cent of his designs made to order for high earning individuals based around the world.
Fans include Craig Revel Horwood who wore pieces from David’s menswear range for the last series of the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing.
Goldsmiths North will build on the success of The Goldsmiths Fair in London and the Elements Festival of Jewellery, Silver & Gold in Edinburgh.
It will bring the best of designer jewellery and silversmithing from the UK and Europe to the north of England and is expected to attract over 2000 visitors. David isone of a small selection of designers who will be specially profiled in the show’s Annual guide.
