Pete McKee - back with a new exhibition
This Class Works will celebrate the culture of Sheffield's working people
Sheffield’s buzzing artistic scene is set to be enlivened this year with new works featuring two of its leading lights – Pete McKee and Richard Hawley.
McKee is putting the finishing touches to a new exhibition, This Class Works, celebrating the culture of the city’s working people which will be shown in a former spring factor in Kelham Island in July.
McKee, in his first exhibition since recovering from a liver transplant last year, has been working with photographers, artists and filmmakers for the eagerly-anticipated show.
Entrance is by ticket only, and unusually, for specific timeslots only. There’s more information on the exhibition’s website here.
Meanwhile, Hawley’s music is set to be a highlight of the new season at The Crucible – you can read about it here.
