My Fathers Heart provided a suitably special venue for a Masterchef-style cook-off where our four shortlisted finalists were asked to deliver their signature dishes.
These were assessed by a panel of judges headed by Mick Burke, who spent 37 years as chef-lecturer at The Sheffield College. Our quartet of young chefs all proved they could deliver the goods under pressure, but there can only be one winner. The shortlist is:
