Guests enjoy the Westside Restaurant of the Year Awards at Baldwins Omega.

The very best of Sheffield’s dining scene gathered at Baldwins Omega on 5 June for the 2017 Westside Restaurant of the Year Awards, sponsored by My Fathers Heart.
In the biggest awards yet, more than 200 restaurant owners, chefs and front of house staff celebrated incredible eateries from across the region in one of the most glamorous, glitzy events on the restaurant scene’s social calendar. Baldwins Omega, Sheffield’s premier banqueting venue provided an opulent setting – decked in gold and white with grand candelabrums on the tables – courtesy of White Rose Occasions.
On arrival, guests enjoyed fizz supplied by Robinsons Brewery of Stockport, who also kindly donated a beautiful selection of wines and beers for the tables. As always, the food supplied by Baldwins was of the highest quality, five-courses of simply stunning food was served.
Compering the evening was Great British Bake Off’s Howard Middleton, who through his cheeky comments, charismatic presenting and hilarious one-liners, made a perfect master of ceremonies. We also heard from John Murphy, joint managing director at RMC Media, who was keen to thank My Fathers Heart, Robinsons Brewery, Baldwins Omega, White Rose Occasions, the staff at RMC Media and all the restauranteurs that made the night so special.
As guests enjoyed the fabulous food and drinks, thirteen winners were announced, and each received a bottle of premium Montelvini Asolo Prosecco Superiore, kindly donated by Robinsons Brewery. The honour of presenting the final award, restaurant of the year, to the Samuel Fox Country Inn, went to Jonathan Coulthard from My Fathers Heart.
After all the awards, tables were pushed back to reveal the dancefloor and guests partied into the early hours.
