RMC managing editor, Chris Wilson presents Christine Vincent with her prizes

Lucky Christine enjoys a champagne reception at My Fathers Heart after winning 30 amazing prizes

It’s the biggest competition RMC Media has ever run and we are now delighted to announce that the winner of our 30th anniversary competition is Christine Vincent from Doncaster.

Christine and her daughter-in-law, Lindsey Vincent, were invited to My Fathers Heart - RMC’s media partner - for a champagne reception, where she was presented with 30 fabulous prizes.

All of the prizes were donated by 30 generous businesses and included hotel stays, a day at the races, tickets to see Diversity, jewellery, a chiminea, a hamper, 30 bottles Bradfield Brewery’s specially brewed Thirty Something anniversary ale, and many, many more.

The 30 prize givers were PA Jewellery, Charles Brooks, Brocco on the Park, The Austin’s Group, Napoleons, Bradfield Brewery, Fox Valley, Sandersons Boutique Department Store, The Schoolrooms, Savills Barbers, Posh FX, Sheffield United Football Club, Sheffield Wednesday Football Club, The Vanilla Rooms, Underwood Meat Company, Bailey of Sheffield, Ferndale Garden Centre, Grid Thirteen, Mitchells Wine Merchants Yorkshire Outdoors, The Spirit of Harrogate, Showroom Cinema, Dronfield Carpets & Floors, Doncaster Racecourse, Bawtry Eye Academy, The Crown Hotel, Green & Benz, Leeds First Direct Arena, Leeds Bradford Airport and our very own, RMC Books.

Christine, who has been a dedicated reader of Eastside for years, said she was still in shock.

“I get Eastside every month and read it right through. When I saw all those prizes I thought, ‘I’ll never win it, but I’ll give it a go.’ And then when I was told I’d won I couldn’t believe it! I’ve not been able to sleep, I’m so excited! All the prizes look great and they’ve come just in time for Christmas.”

When asked which prize she was looking forward to, she replied: “The flights to Guernsey! I’m also looking forward to the stay at The Crown Hotel. I live nearby but have never been in, so I’m going to save that for my birthday in January. I’m going to share most of them with my family.

“Lindsey is taking her nieces to see Diversity in Leeds, my partner Martin McNicholas and my son-in-law Richard Whitticker will be doing the adventure day at Yorkshire Outdoors and my son, David Glenn Vincent, will have the Bailey bracelet and then the boys will enjoy the 30 bottles of beer between them – I’m keeping the watch from PA Jewellery for myself!”

And so she should! Congratulations Christine!
