These are the businesses who make the Eastside Restaurant Awards possible

The Eastside Restaurant Awards 2017 are finally upon us! And as the shortlisted restaurants prepare for one of the biggest events on the region’s culinary scene’s calendar, a group of local businesses are working behind the scenes to make this fabulous event happen.

Following years of wonderful sell-out events and hard work from Craig Dowie and the team at The Crown, Bawtry, for which we are incredibly grateful, the Eastside Restaurant Awards have become so popular that they have been moved to a larger venue, Doncaster Racecourse, for 2017.

The new venue has plenty of room to accommodate restauranteurs, their chefs and front of house teams, and for the first time, the general public.  We would like to thank the events team for organising such a glamorous evening. A special thanks goes to chefs Michael Leeson of the The Old Weighing Room Restaurant & Bar and Dan White from Doncaster Racecourse, who have created a sumptuous menu, so our restauranteurs can enjoy being on the other side of great service and top quality food in a wonderful atmosphere.

Making the room look so beautiful at the awards, is White Rose Occasions. Based in Doncaster, White Rose Occasions has done a great job of dressing the room and providing table decorations to make sure everyone can celebrate in style.

Entertaining the crowds on the evening is DJ Paul, who has provided the soundtrack to many past restaurant awards and is one of the hardest working in the team, spinning discs until the last party goers leave the dancefloor.

Of course, for one of the most glamorous events on Eastside’s social calendar, the magazine’s publishing manager Terri Moore, and sales executive Rebecca Hume needed something fabulous to wear. Providing dresses for the Eastside ladies this evening is Chique of Armthorpe, a lovely little boutique fashion shop which stocks the very latest in prom, occasion and evening wear.

In the run up to the Eastside Restaurant Awards, our judges head out into the region to decide the winner of the most anticipated award of the evening, Restaurant of the Year. Joining RMC Media’s managing editor Chris Wilson on the judging panel this year is Will Hickman, marketing manager at United Carpets and Beds, and actor Chris Walker, who returns to the awards following his hugely successful debut as judge and guest host at the 2016 awards. Thank you to all our judges!

We hope all our guests have a fabulous time at the Eastside Restaurant Awards 2017, remember to use #ERA17 so we can see all your fabulous posts about the night, and keep an eye out for our picture gallery after the event.
