VIBE has teamed up with Silversmiths restaurant and Sheffield Theatres to offer one lucky reader the chance to win a slap-up meal for two and a pair of tickets to see a performance of Guys and Dolls at The Crucible on Friday 20 December.

Silversmiths, on Arundel Street (a five minute walk from the Crucible theatre), reopened its doors under new ownership in October this year and the new venue has already been receiving rave reviews for reviving the restaurant which famously featured on Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares programme

The restaurant subsequently went on to win numerous awards and with 23-year-old Ashley Bagshaw now at the helm as Head Chef, there are high-hopes for further success. Ashley’s skill and enthusiasm has already helped reinvigorate the new menu, and, as well as the new modern touches they have also brought back a few much-loved classics including Tuesday night pie night and their pre-theatre packages, priced at £19 for two courses and £22 for three courses.

Silversmiths is the perfect way to kick-off an evening of fun at the theatre, and makes for a fabulous start to our exciting prize, which next takes you up the road to the theatre.

Earlier in the year, it was announced that Guys and Dolls would be this year’s Sheffield Theatres Christmas musical spectacular from Saturday 7 December – Saturday 18 January.

This spectacular musical comedy promises to be a high energy riot of breath-taking dance and features all-time favourites such as Luck be a Lady, Guys and Dolls and the irresistible Sit Down, You’re Rocking the Boat. The plot follows high roller Sky Masterson who, to settle a bet, pursues straight-laced Sergeant Sarah Brown, only to fall head over heels for his unlikely love.

Sheffield Theatres Artistic Director Robert Hastie (Standing at the Sky’s Edge) directs, with Natalie Casey (Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps) as Miss Adelaide, Kadiff Kirwan (Chewing Gum) as Sky Masterson, Martin Marquez (Hotel Babylon) as Nathan Detroit, and Alex Young (Anything Goes, Standing at the Sky’s Edge) as Sgt Sarah Brown.
