After a hugely successful grand re-opening a couple of weeks ago, the all-new Silversmith’s restaurant on Arundel Street is settling back in to the Sheffield dining scene very nicely indeed.
To celebrate the success they have recently launched a new ‘Simply British’ menu packed full of British classics, and they want to give two lucky VIBE readers the chance to give it try it on the house.
The new menu is available all day and features dishes with a local flavour, such as their mains of house smoked brisket and Hendo’s pie, with seasonal vegetables and mash (£13), and a refined fish and chips (£14).
New head chef Ashley Bagshaw, who at just 23 has already presided over some of the area’s most renowned kitchens since he got his first chef de partie position at Sheffield’s Wig & Pen in 2011has created a menu with an entirely locally sourced list of ingredients where every cut of meat is award-winning.
He hopes to serve nothing but the finest British cuisine but with a Silversmiths twist, and they are keen to point out they aim to ‘surprise and delight at the same time.’
Head chef Ashley Bagshaw said: “My whole ethos is to play around with food. I like to be challenged. I love creating something that turns heads. I’m a very outgoing person.
“If your personality doesn’t reflect in the dishes you serve then there’s no point. If a dish isn’t turning heads then it’s not good enough. I want to make Silversmiths the best eatery in Sheffield – no question.”
