‘Mi Casa: Spanish-Inspired Recipes from the Heart of Derbyshire’ tells the story of Casa, from distant dream to successful reality, with a focus on the Mediterranean influence which sets the hotel – and its food – apart from the rest.

The book, co-written by RMC’s Adam Kay, features over 30 recipes from Steve and the hotel’s kitchen team, who hold two prestigious AA rosettes. From simple tapas to dishes for that special occasion, it has all the ingredients required to create authentic Spanish-inspired meals.

 

Central to the Casa ethos is the quality of the ingredients and produce used in the hotel’s cooking. It’s a particular passion for Steve, who runs and lives on the nearby Walton Lodge Estate. The Estate houses Walton Lodge Farm whose animals provide almost all of the meat and eggs used at Casa. The book also features a behind-the-scenes look at the workings of the farm and its unique connection to the hotel.
