It’s quite something being part of a Michelin three-star winning team. But in raising the bar so high, it’s a hard act to follow.
Steven Doherty did exactly that in 2012 with his first book, which was a long way from the exalted kitchens of Le Gavroche in Mayfair – 285 miles to be exact. Living Over the Shop reflected his new life amidst the rural serenity of his new home in the Lake District. His theme was based around simple everyday dishes, and cooking that is accessible to everyone.
